Asking AI to write at a certain grade level?

If you are a student or have a student, can you ask AI to do its writings at a certain grade level? Does it work?

ChatGPT has helped me get through some of my course work. I reword and changed things obviously but it has given me the ideas I've needed.

It gives ideas in a way that feels very likely an human, and that's what I really like about ChatGPT. I've tried DeepSeek as well, but many times it gives incorrect results. For me, I use AI mainly for hints and guidance—just like @Gizmo mentioned in the post above.
