I am an avid book lover and reader. Most of the time, I prefer books to movies because the movies adaptation of a book is not always accurate. Producer tend to cut out the most important elements.

How do you feel? Do you like books better or the movies based on books?

I always prefer the book, but I go into a film knowing it's going to be a trimmed down, altered version of the story to fit into a couple of hours of screen time.  Like with The Book Thief, I LOVE the book, it's an absolutely fantastic book, but the film is very mediocre because it misses so much of the drama, so many cue points, and the real drawing in factor of the book is that it's told from the perspective of Death, which...you can't just narrate an entire movie, so we only hear Death briefly during the film and it takes that element, that unique part of the story completely out of it.
